Announcing Scholarships For Girl Students for A. Y. starting July 2010

In India girls are still considered a liability and an economic burden on the family and not being literate enough are unaware of their rights and subject to gender discrimination, thereby denying them the dignity to life. We aim to free women from their shackles of ignorance and empower them to be financially independent, professionally successful and realize their dreams and career aspirations, their rights to succeed, by providing them a level playing field. This is possible only through education, higher education and quality education.

The importance of educating a girl can never be over emphasized as when a woman is educated, she educates the entire family and she opens up the world to the entire community.

Recognizing this significance and in commemoration of the 12th anniversary of the Suryadatta Group of Institutes, the Suryadatta Education Foundation has instituted scholarships for girl students. Save Water Rally

Less than 2% of the world's water is fresh water. Rather if 100 litres constitute the world's water, about half a tablespoon of it is fresh water available for our use. Acute water shortage has become a recurring problem in many parts of India and the rest of the world. Conservation is the greatest resource when it comes to water supply.

We each share responsibility for the sustainable management of our water resources, which means using less water at home, in the workplace, at school, on holidays, on the farm, … everyone, everywhere, every time.

It's time to become water efficient! This involves reassessing our consumption of water, and learning to use it more sparingly . On the most basic level, it requires an attitudinal change, and assigning a value to water that truly reflects its worth.

Keeping this important aspect in mind, Suryadatta Group of Institutes organized a rally' Save Water”. During this rally, students of Suryadatta tried to focus attention on this serious issue in the society and tend to make people realize this.
