The Career Development Cell (CDC) at SGI facilitates career development of its students. The CDC continues with the philosophy of providing support for all-round development of the students.
Besides finding suitable opportunities for the students, the CDC undertakes Career Development activities to bridge competency gaps with various activities like workshops on interview skills and resume building, mock interviews, group discussions and placement guidance, mentorship by faculty & practising managers from the industry. Suryadatta Placement Policy
For Eligible Students: Students without any backlog and with all dues cleared and meeting desired attendance are eligible for placements. In the last 20 years of experience more than 90% eligible and interested students got multiple placement opportunities irrespective of their previous qualification and performance. Students get offers in accordance with their overall academic performance in the selection process as per the company norms and various other relevant factors in the area of their interest.
For Non Eligible Students : Suryadatta Placement team puts in rigorous efforts regularly and organizes round the year Employability Enhancement programmes for the students to enhance their knowledge and expertise, groom and train them for the required skills. Suryadatta goes beyond the general practice and offers placement opportunities even to Non eligible students. Students are offered suitable package in companies based on their competency, choice of company, their overall experience, location and other factors.

Guest lectures provide the students a chance to interact with the representatives of the corporate world and learn about latest management practices. Live projects and workshops ensures firsthand knowledge of business process while the student is at still pursuing a course from the institute.
Career Development Cell / Guidance:
The Career Development Cell provides value addition round the clock besides rigorous academic sessions through Industrial visits, Guest Lectures and Conferences. Extensive Industry Interface and knowledge management activities that are undertaken, develops the required skill-sets and industriousness. This has led to National and Multinational organizations selecting Suryadatta students through Campus Recruitment Programs. The Career Development Cell is driven by students and placement coordinator. Suryadatta Alumni meets regularly inorder to accelerate the placement process. Students get the placements based on their academic performance, communication skills, presentation skills and performance in the selection process.

Today’s manager needs to have multiple skills ranging from advanced Computer Knowledge, Communication Skills, Soft Skills, Administrative Skills and many more. International Internships and Placements
To make students conversant with diverse cultures, limited opportunities for international internships and summer placements in the other countries like US, UK Canada are available through various experts/agencies. This provides best options for students to learn about these cultures, languages and work ethics of different countries. Besides the monetary gains, students get opportunity to travel and get international exposure along with networking possibilities. These internships provide students with two prolonged benefit of earning while learning.
In today’s globalised world, students get assignments that offer them scope to learn and gain global exposure through these initiatives. During the internships, students are given assignments that can be completed in realistic time frames and can be converted into final placements.
Suryadatta students are working in countries such as UAE, Canada, UK, West African and European countries. Students are selected based on requirement of the company and fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
5 Year Placement Support
Suryadatta Group of Institute provides lifelong learning support to its students by offering Value added modules from reputed National and International institutions with which it has tie ups, even after passing out. SGI also offers 5 years placement support to its students by sharing opportunities on its Alumni Portal “ALMASHINE”. Alumni can also post vacancies existing in their organization on the alumni portal.
Students are exposed to real life situations through projects and assignments. Students are offered 15 to 30 days duration projects in different sectors across functions during their tenure. Feedback on student’s performance is taken during these live projects. These are done in addition to Summer Internships.
Suryadatta Start-Up Fest
In order to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and incubation cell at Suryadatta regularly organizes events, workshops and seminars for students. A series of startup fests are planned for giving opportunity to students to promote start-ups. Over 50 start-ups founded by the students, Alumni and faculty of the schools, colleges and institutes of Suryadatta Group of Institutes were showcased in the start up fest 2021. The start-up ideas and concepts which are at various stage of evolution right from ideation to commercialization were presented by the students. These start ups are from diverse sectors such as Catering, Fashion , Interior design, Financial Services, Herbal Products , Arts, 3D printing, E-Commerce, Environment etc.
