According to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, London, United Kingdom:
Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. They maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease. The profession helps to encourage development and facilitate recovery, enabling people to stay in work while helping them remain independent for as long as possible.
A physiotherapist, or physical therapist, works with patients to help them manage pain, balance, mobility, and motor function. This can also help to reduce your risk of injury or illness in the future. Physiotherapy takes a holistic approach that involves the patient directly in their own care.
Suryadatta Institute of Health Sciences has MoU with various multispeciality Hospitals in Pune and PCMC. This is to ensure that the students get sufficient practical and clinical exposure.
