About the Course
The B.Sc-CDS (Cyber and Digital Science) Program is a 4year Bachelors Degree Program affiliated to theSavitribai Phule Pune University. The main objective ofthe program is tomake students aware of cyber crimeand learn ways to handle them. To produceentrepreneurs who can work in the area of Cyber andDigital Forensics and Cyber SecurityArchitect andservice providers.
To prepare students with the technical knowledge andskills needed to protect and defend computer systemsand networks. To develop graduates that can plan, implement, andmonitor cyber security mechanisms tohelp ensure the protection of information technology
assets. The Program is designed to empower studentsfor immediate employment on passing out. It is a fineblend of Theory & Practical, with an emphasis onCommunication Skills and Interpersonal Skills.
The academic curriculum for Cyber and Digital Science is supplemented and enrichedthrough multiple additionalinputs and knowledge based learning in the form of guest
lectures, seminars, conferences, symposiums, experientiallearning such as field work, case studies – hands on insightsthrough projects with the industry and the surveillanceagencies, assistantship with cyber lawyers and advocates,competitions & professional society activities. We alsoprovide twenty modules every year in the form of workshopmodules as additional inputs
- Three years: Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security & Digital Science (BSc CDS)
On successful completion of 3 years of study, student can exit the program with BSc CDSdegree
- Four years: BSc CDS (Honours) or BScCDS (Honours with Research)
On successful completion of 3 years of study, student can pursue the 4th year for award of BSc CDS (Hons) degree, subject to eligibility as per the Univ norms.
