Pune: "Corona has shown that the threat of bio-chemical warfare is high. Millions of people have lost their lives without firing a single bullet and without a bomb blast. Doctors, medical staff, police and sanitation workers have played a big role in this fight. We should always pay gratitude to them," said Lieutenant General (Retd.) Dr. DB Shekatkar. He added that  Knowledge is a matter of assimilation, and it must be accompanied by rites and values. He also said that in order for the nation to prosper, the 'mankind' in us must also be kept alive.

Former MLA Prof. Medha Kulkarni presented the 'Suryabhushan International Award' to Dr DB Shekatkar and Narendra Bhandari, Past International Director, Lions Club International. On the occasion of this ceremony held at Bansiratna Hall in the Bawadhan premises of 'Suryadatta', the founder president of 'Suryadatta' Prof. Dr. Sanjay Chordia, Vice President Sushma Chordia, Group Director Dr. Shailesh Kasande, Executive Development Officer Siddhant Chordia, Social Worker Seema Dabke along with teachers and non-teaching staff were present. Shekhar Mundada, founder of the MahaNGO Federation, Arun Khore, senior editor and writer, Dr. Nitin Dalaya, Physiatrist, Dr Pushkaraj Karmarkar, Laparoscopic Surgeon Dr. Ramesh Ranka, Spine Surgeon was honored with Suryagaurav Natonal Award.

Prof. Medha Kulkarni said, "Our attitude of helping those who all are in need is satisfying. So we have to look at why we do what we do, and how it will be beneficial for others. Suryadatta Education Institute is not just about graduates, it is about human beings."

Narendra Bhandari said, "We are trying to make the lives of the needy and poor to make them happy through the Lions Club, which works in the spirit of humanity all over the world. I am happy that all the Lions members are working hard for the upliftment of the society. We should work with service as our religion."

Shekhar Mundada said, "We helped 3 lakh people during the pandemic. Efforts are being made to make Diwali brighter in their homes by providing employment to women on the occasion of Diwali. The glory of the work with a social spirit is encouraging."

Arun Khore said, "Maharashtra is a hub of social activists. Maharashtrians were heavily involved in many of Gandhiji's movements. We must keep our sense of community alive."

Dr. Nitin Dalaya said, "There has been an increase in the incidence of mental illness in recent times. The overuse of social-media, frustration, hurt feelings and depression are increasing the number of mental illness victims. Counseling and communication can be effective."

Dr. Ramesh Ranka said, "The contribution made by Indians in the battle of Corona is commendable. However, this battle is not over yet. Therefore, we must strictly abide by all the rules. The work that Suryadatta is doing enthusiastically even today is inspiring."

Prof. Dr. Sanjay Chordia said that in his introduction, it is an attempt to set an example for the students and teachers by honoring the ideal personalities who have made remarkable contributions in the progress of society and the country. 30+ corona warriors awarded with 'Suryadatta CoronaYoddha Award' by Suryadatta Group of Institutes


Pune: "The work done by all the Corona warriors with sense of humanity and brotherhood during the pandemic is inspirational for all of us. The work done by doctors, medical staff, police, teachers, sanitation workers and social workers, various organizations in maintaining social commitment is remarkable," said Narendra Bhandari, Past International Director, Lions Clubs International.

विदेशी छात्रों के कारन भारतीय संस्कृति और परंपरा दुनिया भर में फैली : प्रा. डॉ. संजय चोरडिया

फेडरेशन ऑफ इंटरनेशनल स्टूडेंट्स एसोसिएशन द्वारा स्नातक समारोह


पुणे: "भारत में पढ़ने वाले विदेशी छात्रों के कारन भारतीय संस्कृति और परंपराओं को दुनिया भर में फैलाने में मदद मिलती है। छात्र आदान-प्रदान दोनों देशों की प्रगति में योगदान करते हैं। सूर्यदत्त को विदेशी छात्रों के लिए सहानुभूति है और पिछले 18 वर्षों में 250 से अधिक विदेशी छात्र सूर्यदत्ता से स्नातक बने है," ऐसा प्रतिपादन सूर्यदत्त ग्रुप ऑफ इंस्टीट्यूट्स के संस्थापक अध्यक्ष प्रा. डॉ. संजय चोरडिया द्वारा किया गया.

फेडरेशन ऑफ इंटरनेशनल स्टूडेंट्स एसोसिएशन-पुणे ने हाल ही में कोरेगांव पार्क के वेस्टिन होटल में पुणे में पढ़ने वाले विदेशी छात्रों के लिए एक स्नातक समारोह का आयोजन किया था। इस समय, मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में प्रा. डॉ. चोरडिया बात कर रहे थे. इस समारोह को ५८ देशो से लगभग ३०० से ज्यादा छात्र उपस्थित थे. दोनों देशो की संस्कृति, परम्परा एक दूसरे को समजने के उद्देश्य से यह समारोह काफी मददगार रहा. इस समय सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठ संचालित इंटरनॅशनल स्टुडंट्स सेंटर के संचालक प्रा. डॉ.  विजय खरे, अफगाणिस्तान कौन्सलेट के कॉन्सुल जनरल शफीकुल्लाह इब्राहिमी, एलपीसीपीएस के संस्थापक डॉ. एस. पी. सिंग, अजिंक्य डीवाय पाटील युनिव्हर्सिटी संचालित इंटरनॅशनल सेंटर की संचालक प्रा. निरुपमा प्रकाश, 'फिसा' के अध्यक्ष अब्बा ओमर आदी उपस्थित थे.

समारोह की शुरुवात अफगाणी नृत्य और सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमोसे हुई. चाड, तुर्कमेनिस्तान, अफगाणिस्तान, कॅमरून, युगांडा, केनिया, टांझानिया, दक्षिण सुदान, दक्षिण कोरिया, सौदी अरेबिया, येमेन, झांबिया, नायजेरिया, जिबूती, तुर्की, गॅम्बिया, कांगो, दक्षिण आफ्रिका, अंगोला, मलावी, श्रीलंका, नेपाळ, रुवांडा, कझाकस्तान, बुरुंडी, गिनी, लेसोथो, इथिओपिया, मालदीव, युक्रेन, रशिया, आयव्हरी कोस्ट, नायजर, थायलंड, बोत्सवाना, मोझांबिक, गॅबॉन, बेनिन प्रजासत्ताक, स्वाझीलँड, मादागास्कर, एरिट्रिया, इराक, इराण, इजिप्त, मोरोक्को, सोमाली, मॉरिशस, सेशेल्स आदी ५८ देशो से ३०० छात्र शामिल हुए थे.

प्रा. डॉ. संजय चोरडिया ने 'अतिथी देवो भव' इस भारतीय परंपरा के अनुसार सभी विदेशी छात्रों का स्वागत किया. उन्होंने कहा की, सूर्यदत्त में पिछले १८ सालो से विदेशी छात्र पढ़ रहे है. आज तक सूर्यदत्ता से लगभग  २५० छात्र स्नातक बनके चले गए है और आज विश्वभर अपना टैलेंट दिखा रहे है. ३३ देशो के छात्रों का इसमें समावेश है. भारत में पढ़नेवाले विदेश के छात्रों की सुविधा के लिए सूर्यदत्ता इंटरनॅशनल एज्युकेशनल अँड कल्चरल सेंटर शुरू किया गया है. इस सेंटर के तहत नियमित रूप से  विदेशी छात्रों के लिए सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम, विद्यार्थी मेळावा, दीक्षांत समारंभ आयोजित किया जाता है.

डॉ. चोरडिया ने आगे कहा की, विदेशी छात्रों के लिए सूर्यदत्त में पायाभूत सुविधा उपलब्ध है. यहाँ की सभी पायाभूत सुविधा, मूल्य, परंपरा और शैक्षणिक प्रगती अनुभव करने के लिए विदेशी छात्रों ने सूर्यदत्ता को भेट देनी चाहिए. उससे सूर्यदत्ता और छात्रों के भीतर नाता दृढ़ हो सकता है. प्रा. डॉ. विजय खरे ने एसपीपीयूआय इंटरनॅशनल स्टूडंट सेल के बारे में बताया. प्रा. डॉ. संजय चोरडिया ने अन्य गणमान्य अतिथियों को सन्मानित किया.

पुढे त्यांनी सांगितले की, सूर्यदत्ता शिक्षणसंस्था अंतर्गत प्रशिक्षण व्यवस्था उभारत असून, विद्यार्थ्यांना त्याचे मानधन देण्याची तरतूद आहे. ही मुले तासावर, आठवड्यानुसार किंवा सुटीच्या दिवशी काम करू शकतात. त्यातून त्यांना प्रात्यक्षिक ज्ञान तर मिळतेच शिवाय, पैसेही मिळतात. संस्थेच्या अंतर्गत अशा स्वरूपाची पेड इंटर्नशिप सुरु करणारी सूर्यदत्ता संस्था एक वेगळी आहे. आणखी एक विशेष म्हणजे संस्थेच्याच विद्यार्थ्यांनी सुरु केलेल्या नवीन स्टार्टअप मध्ये काम करण्याची संधी येथे उपलब्ध करून देण्यात येत आहे. कोरोना महामारीच्या या काळात २०० दिवसांत १०० स्टार्टअपची निर्मिती झाली असून, त्यामध्ये काम करण्याची संधी मिळणार आहे.  लॉकडाऊनला संधी मानून या काळात असे १०० नवे स्टार्टअप सूर्यदत्ताच्या माध्यमातून पुढे येत आहेत.

दिव्यांग बच्चों के संगठन को 'सूर्यदत्ता' द्वारा महीने का अनाज

पुणे: सुर्यदत्ता फूड बैंक की ओर से पिरंगुट में स्थित विकलांग बच्चों के लिए संगठन 'ओम साईं ओम' को एक महीने के राशन, आवश्यक चीज़ें और स्कूल की आपूर्ति वितरित की गई। कोरोना अवधि के दौरान अपनी जान जोखिम में डालने वाले पुलिस कर्मचारियों को भी सम्मानित किया गया। यह फूड बैंक सुर्यदत्ता ग्रुप ऑफ इंस्टीट्यूट्स के एज्यु-सोशियो कनेक्ट इनिशिएटिव के तहत शुरू किया गया है। सुर्यदत्ता शिक्षण संस्थान और लायंस क्लब ऑफ पूना वेस्ट ने संयुक्त रूप से हाल ही में सुर्यदत्ता संस्थान के बावधन परिसर में 'सामाजिक उत्थान' पहल की है। हाल ही में यह कार्यक्रम सूर्यदत्ता के बावधन कैम्पस में हुआ.

प्रो. डॉ संजय चोरडिया ने कहा, "सुर्यदत्ता ने सामाजिक प्रतिबद्धता की भावना से जरूरतमंदों की मदद करने के लिए फूड बैंक, क्लॉथ बैंक, प्रोडक्ट्स बैंक, नॉलेज बैंक और बिजनेस बैंक नाम से पांच पहल शुरू की हैं। जरूरतमंदों, वंचितों, आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़े वर्गों, किसानों, सेना के सदस्यों, मजदूरों, विकलांग बच्चों की मदद के लिए विभिन्न कार्यक्रम संचालित किए जा रहे हैं। सुर्यदत्ता फूड बैंक के माध्यम से जरूरतमंदों को, मजदूरों, सड़क पर रहने वाले लोगों सहित भोजन और अन्य आवश्यकताएं प्रदान की जा रही हैं। वस्त्र बैंक योग्य कपड़ों के संग्रह के साथ-साथ नए कपड़ों की जरूरत भी प्रदान कर रहा है। "

Xenia- Bestowing Hospitality: International Seminar on Hotel Management, Travel and Tourism @Suryadatta Group of Institutes on the backdrop of current global and national developments

Suryadatta College of Hospitality Management and Travel Tourism (SCHMTT), a NAAC accredited premier institute in Pune inaugurated the 3 day International Webinar- "Xenia- Bestowing Hospitality" on 3rd Nov 2020, as an industry connect and knowledge management initiative.

Conceptualized with the collective inputs of industry experts, senior academicians, and alumni on a pan india basis and from overseas, the international seminar "Xenia" provided students with valuable knowledge and industry insights from distinguished stalwarts of the Industry. Students got introduced to new concepts and innovative ideas pertinent to all departments of Hospitality viz. Food styling, Food Blogging, Airport Catering, Wine Appreciation , Mixology and Shrubs, Cloud kitchens, Food Historian, Facility Management and much more. A total of 250 Students and faculty from SCHMTT as well as other institutes and colleges across Maharashtra benefitted from the seminar.

The international webinar was kickstarted by Mr. Pandurang Taware, a renowned entrepreneur in Agro Tourism who provided glimpses in the field of Agro Tourism and explained the linkages between hotel management and Agro tourism. He encouraged students to take up entrepreneurial approach w.r.t Agro tourism and thereby boost the economic situation of farmers in Maharashtra. Chef Nitin Tandon, CEO of Clear Water Hospitality Services presented exciting stuff on Food Styling and also deliberated on the career options and career pathways of a food stylist. He underlined the importance of having strong fundamentals in the kitchen in order to become a Food Stylist.

Day 2 and Day 3 of the event will have sessions by Mr. Amar Shrivastava, Chef Eureka Araujo speaking on Brewery careers and Professional Pastry Making, Chef Rahul Wali on History of food, Mr. Ramesh Upadhyay on careers in facility management, Mr. Bapji Jinaga on Science of Mixing Fluids, Chef Rajesh Shetty on Airport Catering, Mr. Anshay Jain on Being a food blogger, Mr. Karthick on Laundry management as a career, Chef Raviraj on Concept of cloud kitchen and Mr. Akalpit Prabhune on Fruit wines.

Students expressed that they learned several dimensions of the practical aspects of what they learn in the curriculum. Ms. Rujuta Rane a student of SY BSC HS mentioned that she came to know a lot of new things about Agro Tourism and she will be considering it as a prospective career ahead. Mr. Suraj Bisht a student of TY BSC HS mentioned that he gained valuable insights about how to present the food, from the session of Food Styling.

Reading Inspiration Day Celebration-Suryadatta Group of Institute

A unique initiative of Suryadatta teachers and non-teaching staff on the occasion of Reading Inspiration Day

Pune: About one and a half hundred people spent about an hour on congratulations to Missile Man Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam by reading his books Mind Ignited Minds and AP Turning Points. On the occasion of Dr.Kalam's birthday, teachers and non-teaching staff of Suryadatta Group of Institute celebrated Reading Inspiration Day with enthusiasm.

Although there are no students in the college due to Corona, all days are regularly celebrated in an innovative way by teaching-non-teaching staff. On the occasion of Reading Inspiration Day, a wreath was laid on the statue of Abdul Kalam. After that, IT expert Dr. Joe was present as the chief guest of the ceremony. Deepak Shikarpur and Founder President 'Suryadatta'; Pvt. Dr. Sanjay Chordia guided the audience. On the spot, Chief Executive Officer and Group Director Dr. Shailesh Kasande, Incumbent Dr. Prestige Wabal, Pvt.Shefali Joshi was also present.

Dr. Deepak Shikarpur said,''Dr. Kalam had a vision to interact with the students till the end. Knowledge grows with emotion. Kalam used to say that it should be felt continuously without being possessed.'' If the conversation continues in this way, they will develop a deep intellect, which will also make tomorrow's India brilliant''.

Dr. Sanjay Chordia said,''Reading is what shapes a person's body. The life of Dr. Abdul Kalam is an inspiration to all of us. The student-teacher dialogue should be quick and the work of enlightenment should begin again.''

Pune: "The importance of service was emphasized by eliminating caste discrimination due to corona. During the lockdown, lakhs of people did food and health care with service. "Honoring the person who works with this spirit of service that strengthens the shackles of humanity is motivating for all of us", said Rajesh Pandey, a member of the National Youth Co-operative Society of the Savitribai Phule University of Pune and a member of the National Youth Co-operative Society.

'SuryaGaurav International Award', Sachin Itkar of Strategic Foresight Group, BJP leader Shweta Shalini, Prajapita Brahmakumari's Sarita Didi, Journalist Raju Waghmare, entrepreneur Dr. Deepak Toshniwal, social activist Dr. Rajesh Baheti, and 'Suryagaurav National Award' Rajesh Pandey, Ram Bangad of 'Rakatche Nate' institution, Raj Deshmukh of 'Jagriti Group', Sanjay Gandhi of Skill Development Zone, Kiran Sali, Youth Social Worker, District Information Officer Rajendra Sarg, Jeevaraj Chole, Director of 'Proper Medium'. In spite of 'Suryadatta', the ceremony was organized in the Bansiratna auditorium of Mahavidyala, the founder president of 'Suryadatta'. Dr. Sanjay Chordia, Executive Director Prof. Akshit Kushal, Chief Development Officer Prof . Ramachandran was also present with the teacher-non-teaching staff.

Rajesh Pandey said, "The youth have great potential. If they are given direction, a lot of good work will be done by them. We gave the students of the National Service Scheme an undertaking to make masks. Till date, 70,000 students have almost 35 lakh masks that are stitched. Also, last year, the students stayed in the 'Green Wari' undertaking to do the cleaning work at the place of the sedan. One lakh tree plantation program has been done in the university. It was condemned by many. "

Sachin Itkar said, "Lockdown was a bad condition for many people doing minor jobs. At that time, such people were supported by many charitable individuals and organizations. By honoring such individuals and organizations, the Suryadatta family served is a perfect example."

Shweta Shalini said, "Like Surya is eternal and inspiring, so selfless service is inspiring for all of us. Indians faced this crisis bravely. People came together and formed a relationship with each other in a spirit of cooperation The Prime Minister encouraged the crisis to be considered as an opportunity. "

Dr. Deepak Toshniwal said, "Health care, housing, and food were provided to the stranded people due to Corona. Many sociologists took the initiative to build the desegregation room. Corona that in this battle the doctors, the police gave their lives. We should be grateful to them.

Ram Bangad said, "Today there is a great need for blood and plasma. There is a demand for plasma from different parts of the state as well as from outside. The contribution of Punekar's is huge. We are going to supply more and more blood and plasma as needed. I have donated plasma three times. So people should come forward and donate plasma and blood. "

Sarita Didi said, "Indians have a sense of selfless generosity. The opportunity to serve is a gift from God. We should try to bring a smile to people's faces. Many have lost their lives due to fear of Coronavirus but fearing is not a sensible approach, Keep working on keeping your compassion."

Rajendra Sarag said, "During this difficult time, when the rumors were rising, the information department was able to provide the right news.

Rajesh Baheti said, "Many people of the society were in need and God did the work to fulfill it. We did the work of giving food to millions of people through community kitchens by hand." Raj Deshmukh told about the work done by the Jagriti Group for the workers walking during the Corona period.

Sanjay Gandhi gave information about the work being done in the area of skill development. Jivraj Chole spoke about the work done during the Corona period through the Vidyarthi Sahayak Samiti, Maji Vidyarthi Mandal and journalist-friendly family. Prof. Dr. Sanjay Chordiya explained the role behind the award ceremony. Dr. Sunil Dhangar did the operation. Dr. Ramachandran proposed a vote of thanks.
