B.Sc. Home Science
About the Course
BSc in Home Science is a 8- semester course spread over 4-academic years. The Teaching Learning Process (TLP) is students’ centric. It involves both theory and practical components. It offers a flexibility of program structure while ensuring that the student gets a strong foundation in the subject and gains in depth knowledge.
Besides the (Major Core), a student have options courses from the syllabus comprising of (Minor), GEs, SECs, IKSs and VSCs. Hence, this will be bring out the interdisciplinary as well as multidisciplinary approach and adherence to innovative ways within the curriculum framework.

Eligibility
A student with 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in the 12th std from any stream – Science, Commerce, Arts or MCVC with bridge course.
Course Level / Duration / System:
Undergraduate / Three or Four years/6 or 8 Semesters with multiple entry and exit.
The following option will be made available to the students joining BSc (H.S) Research Program:
a) One year: Under Graduate Certificate in Home Science
b) Two years: Under Graduate Diploma in Home Science
c) Three years: Bachelor of Science in Home Science (BSc H.S)
d) Four years: BSc H.S (Honours) and BSc H.S (Honours with Research)
