Incubation Process
The SIICE incubation process is thoughtfully structured to support startups from ideation through execution. Our goal is to build sustainable businesses that drive job creation, commercialize technology, and boost economic growth.
Step 1: Application & Screening
Entrepreneurs submit their business plans, which are reviewed by our expert panel. Promising ideas are invited to present before the SIICE Screening Committee.
Step 2: Onboarding & Documentation
Once selected, entrepreneurs are required to:
- Register as a Private Limited Company
- Submit incorporation documents, including Articles of Association, Memorandum, and PAN card
- Finalize legal agreements (e.g., Shareholder Agreement, Infrastructure Licensing Agreement)
Note: SIIC does not incubate proprietorships or partnerships.
Step 3: Incubation & Acceleration
After documentation, startups enter the incubation phase, receiving access to all SIICE resources. The goal is to support them through product development, market validation, and fundraising. Typically, startups are expected to begin incubation within one quarter of selection, with flexibility for exceptional cases.
Collaboration withWorld Innovationext Network (WIN)
Suryadatta Group of Institutes has signed MOU with the World Innovationext Network (WIN) and has set up the Industry 4.0 / Innovationext lab.
The purpose of this MOU is to enhance the entrepreneurial and innovation capabilitiesof students and faculty. This collaboration aims to provide comprehensive access to WIN’stools and resources to support the development of startups andinnovative projects within the institution.

Training & Guest Sessions
Training is provided on iSuite tools and its access to the students, by the Director of WIN. Later on, regular guest sessions are organized for mentoring & guiding the students interested in innovation – incubation – Startup.
Start Up & Innovation Cell _Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Enterprise (CIIE) @ SIMMC & SIBMT
We are proud to announce that the Startup & Innovation Cell at our Management Institutes, SIMMC and SIBMT has been established in compliance with the norms set by the Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Enterprise (CIIE) at Savitribai Phule Pune University.
This initiative aims to foster entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and the growth of startups within our community. Incubation Process
Suryadatta Incubation Centre has a clearly defined incubation process which helps entrepreneurs realize their ideas. The objective of incubation is to produce successful companies with the potential to create jobs, commercialize new technologies, and strengthen economies.
Entering Incubation
The Incubation of an idea at Suryadatta Incubation Centre begins with entrepreneurs submitting their business plans for review. The rest of the process, from submission to incubation at the Centre, is described below.
Incubation Support
If an idea is found to be developed and interesting enough, the entrepreneur will be given an opportunity to present it to Suryadatta Incubation Centre’s Screening Committee.
The entrepreneur is sent an intimation letter outlining the documents that have to be submitted prior to the commencement of incubation. The team needs to have formed a Private Limited Company (Suryadatta Incubation Centre does not incubate proprietorships or partnerships). The company has to submit its incorporation documents (its Articles and Memorandum of Association) and PAN card before the necessary incubation agreements can be prepared.
Once the documents are received, they will be reviewed and the necessary agreements (shareholders agreement and infrastructure licensing agreement) are prepared. Generally, an incubatee is expected to enter incubation before the next Screening Committee meeting (that is, within one quarter); in exceptional cases, some extension on this timeline can be provided.
